My name is Sebastian Tarrant. I’m 17 years old and I am the owner of Fly Free Equine.
I started Fly Free Equine as a way to earn some money to support my hobbies of mountain biking and filmmaking, but I soon fell in love with business and realised that this is what I wanted to pursue in life.
I came across the highly effective recipe for Fly Free Equine as my younger sister, Alex, is an eventer. While at our previous livery yard, I was lucky enough to be given an old family recipe for fly spray. I then spent all of my pocket money to get as many spray bottles and ingredients as I could. I then went with my family to an event and sold out! (This was the first time I was not reluctant to be dragged along to one of my sister’s events).
Since then I have continued to grow the business and have loved every minute of it. Fly Free Equine has now grown to have more than 100 stockists across the country as of January 2024.
